Who can apply?

Basic eligibility paths
- A Chhattisgarh local-resident certificate is compulsory (detailed advertisement, clause 8.iii).
- 30 per cent of posts are reserved for women under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Special Provisions for Appointment of Women) Rules 1997, applied horizontally and division-wise, with preference for widowed or divorced women (clause 5.ii).
- 7 per cent of posts are reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016; a candidate with hearing loss is eligible only if able to hear with a hearing aid, and a fully deaf candidate is not eligible (clause 5.iii and 5.iv).
- The qualification must be held on or before the last date for online application (clause 8.xi).
- Appointments are made under the Chhattisgarh School Education Service (Academic and Administrative Cadre) Recruitment and Promotion Rules 2026 and remain subject to the Supreme Court's final order in SLP (C) 019668/2022 (clause 8.vi and 8.vii).
