Who can apply?

A readable first check—not a legal eligibility decision.

Basic eligibility paths

  • Under ESIC's 2022 UDC/Stenographer/MTS advertisement, a candidate for Upper Division Clerk needed a recognised degree and working computer knowledge, and a candidate for Stenographer needed Class 12 plus 80 words-per-minute dictation speed; the current cycle's notice will restate the qualifications and its own crucial date.
  • That advertisement made the closing date of the online application the crucial date for age, essential qualification and category status — confirm the equivalent cut-off in whichever notice is current.
  • Confirm nationality, category-certificate format and PwBD functional-requirement rules in the official current-cycle notice before applying.

Relaxations & certificates

  • SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and ex-servicemen relaxations follow the applicable notification.
  • Always check the certificate format and cut-off date in the official notice.
If your degree title, age, domicile or category certificate is unusual, mark yourself “check required” and read the official wording.
