Basic eligibility paths

  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveervayu and they undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period; women additionally undertake not to become pregnant during that period, per the portal's standing eligibility page.
  • The Non-Combatant stream of this intake is open to unmarried male candidates who have passed matriculation or an equivalent examination, per the Intake 02/2026 information brochure.
  • Non-Combatant medical standards in that brochure are a minimum height of 152 cm, minimum chest expansion of 5 cm, weight proportionate to height and age, refractive error not exceeding ±3.5 D, visual acuity 6/36 each eye correctable to 6/9 each eye with CP-III colour vision, normal hearing at 6 metres and a minimum of 14 dental points; corneal surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.
  • Other-Than-Science-Subject candidates are additionally selected through domicile-based regional rallies, and the enrolment lists for this intake were published rally-venue and state-wise.

Selection process & syllabus
