Indian Air Force Agniveervayu — Intake 02/2026

Basic eligibility paths

• ✓Only unmarried candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveervayu and they undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period; women additionally undertake not to become pregnant during that period, per the portal's standing eligibility page.
• ✓The Non-Combatant stream of this intake is open to unmarried male candidates who have passed matriculation or an equivalent examination, per the Intake 02/2026 information brochure.
• ✓Non-Combatant medical standards in that brochure are a minimum height of 152 cm, minimum chest expansion of 5 cm, weight proportionate to height and age, refractive error not exceeding ±3.5 D, visual acuity 6/36 each eye correctable to 6/9 each eye with CP-III colour vision, normal hearing at 6 metres and a minimum of 14 dental points; corneal surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.
• ✓Other-Than-Science-Subject candidates are additionally selected through domicile-based regional rallies, and the enrolment lists for this intake were published rally-venue and state-wise.
• ✓Enrolment is on the four-year Agnipath terms; confirm every stream-specific condition in the official notice for the stream applied for.

Relaxations & certificates

• SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and ex-servicemen relaxations follow the applicable notification.

Selection stages

1. 1Agniveervayu (Science and Other-Than-Science): online STAR test, or the designated domicile-based recruitment rally
2. 2Physical Fitness Test-I — 1.6 km run within 7 minutes for men and within 8 minutes for women, per the portal's standing PFT page
3. 3Physical Fitness Test-II — men: 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats, each within a stipulated minute; women: 10 sit-ups within 1 minute 30 seconds and 15 squats within one minute
4. 4Adaptability Test-I and Adaptability Test-II at the Airmen Selection Centre
5. 5Agniveervayu Non-Combatant: Phase-I written test, Phase-II Physical Fitness Test (1.6 km run within 6 minutes 30 seconds, relaxed at high altitude), Phase-III skill/suitability test and Phase-IV medical examination, per the Intake 02/2026 brochure
6. 6Provisional select list, then the enrolment list and reporting to the allotted training establishment

Syllabus snapshot

• Use only the official stream-specific syllabus, model question papers and the normalisation scheme of marks published on the Agniveervayu portal for the intake applied for.
• The Intake 02/2026 Non-Combatant brochure states the written test is common to both its streams and requires a minimum aggregate score of 10 to pass.
