Basic eligibility paths
- Unmarried men and women born between 2 Jul 2007 and 1 Jan 2010, both dates inclusive, per the official 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry advertisement cited here.
- 10+2 with at least 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and at least 50% marks in English (Class 10 or Class 12).
- The candidate must have appeared for JEE (Main) 2026; shortlisting for the SSB is on the JEE (Main) 2026 All India Common Rank List, with no separate written examination.
- SSB interviews are held at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam, followed by a medical examination and a common merit list.
- Of the 60 tentative vacancies, up to 8 are reserved for women (4 in Mechanical Engineering and 4 in Electronics & Communication Engineering); the advertisement states the numbers may change with service requirement.
