Basic eligibility paths
- Candidates must be domiciled in Maharashtra and hold a caste certificate issued by the competent authority of Maharashtra to claim reservation or the reduced fee, per advertisement 02/2025.
- Backward-class claims need a caste validity certificate from the Caste Scrutiny Committee; appointments of SEBC candidates are provisional and subject to the Bombay High Court's order in W.P. No. 3468/2024.
- Non-creamy-layer certificates are required for VJ(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), SBC and OBC claims but not for SC and ST.
