Basic eligibility paths
- Under the previous cycle's advertisement (Advt. No. 05/Grade A/2025-26), a candidate may apply for only one post or discipline, and the last valid application is the one retained.
- Assistant Manager (RDBS) — General needed a Bachelor's degree with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD), or a PG degree/MBA/PGDM with 55% (50%), or CA/CS/CMA/ICWA, or a PhD; the qualification had to be complete with results declared by the cut-off date.
- The Protocol & Security Service post is reserved for ex-Commissioned Officers of the Armed Forces with at least ten years' service (five for PwBD candidates) holding a valid Ex-Serviceman Identity Card.
- Confirm education, age, nationality and category rules in the official current-cycle notice when it is published.

Syllabus snapshot
- The previous cycle's preliminary paper carried 200 marks over a composite 120 minutes across Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Decision Making, General Awareness, Economic & Social Issues (with focus on rural India) and Agriculture & Rural Development.
- Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude and Decision Making were qualifying only; shortlisting for the mains used the merit sections alone.
