Basic eligibility paths
- Match the exact professional or academic qualification prescribed for the chosen category in Annexure A of CEN 08/2025.
- Only one application to one RRB is allowed for all posts notified by that RRB under this CEN.
- Shortlisting for the Translation Test, where applicable, is at ten times the vacancies on CBT merit.
- Medical standards run from B-1 to C-2 by post, and the CEN gives no alternative appointment to a medically unsuitable candidate.

Syllabus snapshot
- CBT for every post except Junior Translator (Hindi): 100 questions in 90 minutes — Professional Ability 50, General Awareness 15, General Intelligence and Reasoning 15, Mathematics 10 and General Science 10 (CEN 08/2025).
- Professional Ability is drawn from the post-specific syllabi at Annexures VII to XIII of the CEN; General Science covers Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences to 10th-standard CBSE level.
- Negative marking of one-third mark per wrong answer; the scribe-eligible duration is 120 minutes.
