- 12th Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) with Science and Mathematics from a recognised Board, or holds a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System; plus qualifying proficiency in computer operation, including a 1,000-key-depression English typing test in 15 minutes and a test of basic computer functions.

- 18 to 27 years as on 1 Jul 2025 (born between 2 Jul 1998 and 1 Jul 2007); relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and further relaxation for Ex-Servicemen, sportspersons, departmental Delhi Police candidates and widows/divorced women, as detailed in the notice. Relaxations and cut-off dates are category-specific.

Who can apply?

Basic eligibility paths
- Indian citizen.
- Passed 10+2 with Science & Mathematics, or holds the specified NTC trade certificate, as on the closing date of the online application.
- Age 18–27 years as on 1 Jul 2025, with category and departmental-candidate relaxations described in the notice.
- Must clear the qualifying Physical Endurance and Measurement Test standards (race, long jump, high jump, height, chest) prescribed for male and female candidates.
Relaxations & certificates
- SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and ex-servicemen relaxations follow the applicable notification.
- Always check the certificate format and cut-off date in the official notice.
If your degree title, age, domicile or category certificate is unusual, mark yourself “check required” and read the official wording.

Selection process & syllabus

Selection stages
- 1Computer-based examination (100 marks, 90 minutes, 0.25 negative marking per wrong answer; qualifying marks 40%/35%/30% for UR-EWS/SC-ST-OBC/ESM, lowered where categories were undersubscribed)
- 2Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) — qualifying, conducted by Delhi Police
- 3Trade Test (reading and dictation) — qualifying
- 4Test of Proficiency in Computer Operation (typing speed and basic computer functions) — qualifying
- 5Document verification and medical examination
