Basic eligibility paths
- Master's degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/third gender), or a four-year bachelor's degree with at least 75% marks, under the standing UGC-NET eligibility chapter published by NTA.
- Final-year and result-awaited candidates may apply provisionally under the standing scheme and must complete the qualifying degree within the prescribed period after the result.
- Confirm the December 2026 subject list, cut-off date and documentary rules only from the cycle-specific Information Bulletin when NTA publishes it.
